Sustainability Program at CPi
Sustainability consists of fulfilling the needs of current generations without compromising the needs of future generations, while ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care and social well-being.
In CPi we are very aware of the impact our business operations have on our overall GHG Emissions and Climate Change.
We have developed a sustainability program to help guide us to play our part in meeting the global challenges of climate change and sustainability.
Sustainability & ESG Policy
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership.
In CPi, we will focus on 4 of the 17 goals, where we feel we can make the most impact. They are:
- 4. Quality Education – we will educate ourselves on what is required of us and our suppliers/customers
- 7. Renewable Energy – we will focus on switching to solar energy sources and educate ourselves on the efficient use of energy using rechargeable energy sources and using technology to disable devices when not in use
- 12. Responsible consumption & production – we will implement initiatives to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
- 13. Climate Action – we will take urgent action to combat climate change and focus on energy, waste, transport & water usage
Our Policies
We are fully committed to improving our emissions and to educating ourselves on how better to live within our environment, while meeting our business objectives. We have established a clear set of published policies and procedures to support our sustainability goals. They are:

Our Commitments
Our company has committed via CDP – the Carbon Disclosure Platform ((https://www.cdp.net/en) to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce scope 3 emissions.
We have also committed to SBTi (Science-Based Targets initiative) – a platform which supports the creation and verification of concrete environmental targets which align with the 1.5°C Paris agreement. We will publicly commit to a near-term target on the SBTi website by year end.
We are also participating in Eco Vadis – An ESG (environmental, social, & corporate governance) performance assessment platform. We have committed to achieving a score of >45 in all assessment sections and to set an improvement to meet targets. We have committed to reporting once a year.
We have committed to Supplier Diversity which involves collaborating with a supplier base which includes small-sized, minority-owned, or local companies. We are putting a company supplier diversity policy in place, and we are creating a strategy to increase our spend with small & diverse suppliers. A diverse supplier is a business that is at least 51% owned and operated by an individual or group that is part of a traditionally underrepresented or underserved group.
