Job Description
As a successful and rapidly expanding Irish-owned Biopharma Engineering Company based in Cork, Ireland, we are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager for our Single-Use Technology (SUT) skids. This is a lead role in the company and is a permanent position based in Little Island, Cork. The position comes at a crucial stage in the company’s continued growth; the successful candidate will play a key role in both current and future product developments, as well as the strategic direction into new markets.
The role will manage current projects as well as new product innovations in the Biotech space. A unique skill set is required of the candidate, spanning both technical engineering capabilities, but also critically, having key client-facing expertise, excellent project management and communication skills, as well as commercial experience.
About the role
We’re recruiting a Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage the design and manufacture of complex projects, specifically in the design and build of Single Use Skid Packages. The PM would oversee the complete lifecycle of custom-built, process-specific equipment for drug production, primarily in Downstream processing in the Biopharmaceutical sector.
Typical skid packages include Tangential Flow Filtration, Chromatography, Final Bulk Fill, mRNA Bioprocessing skid systems, and many other complex skid packages.
The role incorporates planning and schedule management, design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, FAT, and final qualification (IQ/OQ).
Key responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, risks, and project teams while ensuring compliance with the customers’ URS, site standards, regulatory requirements (for example, CE marking), as well as other applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
This role requires a strong background in engineering, automation, and ideally in Single-Use Bioprocessing skids.
