SINGLE-USE PLUG AND PLAY – Innovative Filter Pack system
CPi Biotech’s Design and Engineering teams continue to push boundaries, delivering innovative and customer-specific assemblies that ultimately provide significant “value add” to the Customers’ drug production process.
In this case, the customer wished to cluster filters together in a drive to aid the filter assembly process on-site, ordinarily conducted by the clients’ operators. Our final design achieved that goal, significantly reducing the number of connections to be made on site by an operator and minimising the overall footprint consumed by the Filter Pack total surface area.
The CPi Biotech Design and Engineering teams took it one step further and delivered a common filter support system for the complete plant. This single design accommodates multiple filter sizes and quantities, and different filter manufacturers such as MilliporeSigma, Meissner, Sartorius, and others. Additionally, the removal of a specific filter from the pack for Filter Integrity Testing (FIT) is easily done, a feature incorporated into the design of the system
The result – A single support trolley and Filter Plate system that seamlessly integrates all filter variations across the site—a true ‘PLUG AND PLAY’ solution for Single-Use technology.
